Schooner Launch from Rockland, Maine

Old postcards are a snapshot of their time. This one shows a schooner being launched in Rockland Harbor. "With Love from Maude Grant of Guilford, ME" is inscribed on the front of the card. It was postmarked in 1906. I love the fact that this is the actual object that traveled by boat, train, or car over a hundred years ago. The map of Maine on the shelf is reproduced from an old atlas.
